I bought this shoe at a brick and mortar kid's store. I thought it was cute, looked comfy, and I liked that it was waterproof. They were having a 30th "birthday sale" so I got 30% off the price. The discount was important; I would not have made the purchase otherwise, because $55 is rather high, especially for a shoe that does not come in half sizes. My daughter just got into size 11 recently, so I that's what I bought. But these shoes seem to fit her pretty much like the 10.5 sneakers I was trying to replace. There may be a tiny bit more room than her old shoes offer, but it's hard to tell. When I hold the two shoes against each other (her old Strides Rites vs. the new Tevas) sole to sole, they look like the same size in terms of the length from heel to toe. The footbed of the Tevas is wider, but that could just be the rubber outsole, and may not apply to the inner "shoebox" area. What do I know? I'm not an expert. I do know that it seems to me Teva has rigged their sizing to accommodate the fact that they don't offer the halfs until you get to the bigger kid sizes. Theoretically I should have gone with size 11.5 in these shoes since they "run small," but had that size been an option, then likely the 11's would have been the right fit, because they would have been true size 11's . . . follow? My daughter complained about the fit the first time she for wore the shoes for more than 10 minutes. But she didn't want to change shoes before going to pre-school becasue she likes the way the Tevas look. (I put her old shoes in her backpack, just in case.) By the time I picked her up from school she told me the shoes felt fine, she wore them the whole morning without any issues. She told me she did not want to take them back to the store. I guess we are keeping them. Size 12 would be too big at this point, and she needs shoes now. Even if these end up being ok for her to wear, I think there's a very good chance they will last 6 months at most, just because she will outgrow them. Which is shame.
