This shoe started out stiff, but I thought it would break in with walking.Unfortunately, this shoe has not broken in and is one of the most uncomfortable pairs of hiking shoes I've ever purchased. This is an overall discomfort due to the stiffness of the materials, not improper sizing. The shoe is made well, just not very pleasant to wear.
