UPDATE: I had to return these shoes because the mesh started tearing on the left one due to lack of reinforcement in the shoe. I had started on longer runs (~4miles a day every day) and it might have been too much for these shoes. I still think they're awesome shoes but definitely not for heavy running until they get more reinforcement built in.

let me precede this review by saying I had previously been running my addidas cross-trainers to shreds desperately holding out for a decent pair of sustinably produced running shoes that actually functioned adequately. My knees were taking a pounding with the cross-trainers but the long wait was definitely worth every bit of time.

These shoes are absolutely incredible. They go far beyond what I could have ever wanted and are more comfortable than any other pair I've ever owned. I've owned them for just shy of a week but have already done 4 6mile runs over hilly hard-paved routes sprinkled with gravel and dirt paths and the knee pain has reduced by an order of magnitude. Not only that, but I've never owned a pair of sneakers that I could get away with running in without socks. And the mesh upper lets the air come through and cool your feet so they don't get hot and sweaty. The whole shoe itself is incredibly light and provides more than enough support for me (I don't pronate though so you might have to look for another option if you need extra support). I actually can't wait till it rains now so I can test the drain ports and tread that these amphibious shoes were actually designed for!

In terms of what size to get, I normally like buying men's 7.5 and since these are women's I got 8.5 and they fit perfect.
