(More customer reviews)These boots were awesome right out the box.I expected there to be some uncomfortable time during the first week of wearing them, but there was none.They fit great and the amount of lacing from toe to ankle made it great for adjusting it to your exact foot shape (or days when you wear thicker socks in the cold).I especially enjoyed the zipper on the sides for easy removal at the end of the day when you really don't feel like unlacing.:)They were also very comfortable when hiking and climbing mountains.I had next to no blistering after 40 miles of climbing in 3 days.The super-soft, thick padding around the ankles was heavenly.
The only drawback: they are not waterproof!Any water rising above the laces will enter the shoe.Too bad.Just use them for dry hiking.
