Just last week, I walked into the New Balance store wearing a brand new pair of 993's, and was still in pain while researching the idea of purchasing the new 2002 model running shoes.Yesterday, I received my new shoes from Amazon and put them on, and went walking.NO PAIN!The cushioning is like a pillow under my feet!The fit is wonderful and the craftsmanship is superior (as you would expect for a $239.00 pair of running shoes), and the shoe looks like a work of art. In my case, the money I save by not needing to purchase custom made orthotics (which was my next step),pays for the price of the shoes.Money well spent for my situation.I am getting ready to purchase a second pair so I can rotate them daily.If your in the market for a neutral cushioned running shoe, this model might be worth considering.
