(More customer reviews)I wore my new shoes today hiking...through puddles, mud, and generally messy trails.These are waterproof and give a lot of support.This is a very firm shoe...I would not wear it running because of the stiffness, but found it excellent as a supportive hiking shoe.This shoe does run a slight bit longer in size, but was just right with a midweight cushioned sock.If you like to wear only thin socks, you might order a 1/2 size down.These shoes look a lot better than the picture.They are truly black, not gray, as the previous reviewer indicated.For the price, you can't beat it, especially considering the Helly TechXP waterproof feature.
