The zipper allows you to put on and slip out of these shoes with ease. The padding inside is nothing spectacular, but it is cushioned and rather comfortable.
However, after walking in these shoes for a mere five minutes, I quickly discovered that they were very painful to wear. There is a thin band of elastic that runs around the topline (where you put your foot in). It's there to make the shoe stretchy and comfortable, but in reality, it causes blisters. The elastic in the back bent inward and outward with every step I made. If the elastic was wider, it probably would have been fine, but because it's thin, it flexes too much. I walked in them all day on vacation and had blisters within 5 minutes. I doubled over my socks, but it didn't help.
I would not recommend these shoes.
